#137: Quick Breakfast Quinoa

#136: Wolffie’s Pasta Salad

#135: Aunt Bonnie’s Chickpea Salad

#134: Simple Sassy Soda Bread

I halved this receipe. No idea what happened in the oven, but the result was really, really flat.

#133: Vegan ‘Sausage’ Hash

Oh the smell of sauteed onion!

#132: Tip Top Tofu Loaf

Apologies for the disgusting photo. I made this dish for myself to bring along to the Christmas dinner. I was worried that it would dry when reheating it, so I poured over some oat cream before putting in to the oven.

#131: Maple Flax Squares

Not having the maple extract I used almond extract and result was very nice!

#130: Jen’s Creamy Basil & Sun-dried Tomato Pasta

This dish was the best! My boyfriend was licking the serving dish and asking "What was this and how did you make it !?!" And so easy to make and everything. Oh dear!

#129: Dijon Mustard Brussels Sprouts

#128: Banana Chocolate Peanut Butter Strudel

Wowah! A little too delicious, this one!

#127: Roasted Kalamata Parsnips

#126: Wolffie’s BLT Brunch Casserole

This dish surprised me. I thought the idea was sort of odd and at first I thought the salad was going in the casserole. But it turned out delicious! The day would have gone a lot more smoothly if I wouldn't have stuffed myself with 2 portions of this.

The Big Catch-Up Day!

The end of the catch up weekend is upon us. I have 13 recipes to blog about and 6 of them I haven't done yet... I'm gonna skip 2 recipes, because: 1.)  I don't have thermometer for the Fudge recipe and 2.) I'm getting mighty sick of these pumpkin recipes and figuring out how to substitute the pumpkin. So, I'm doing the Simple Sassy Soda Bread instead of the Mimi's Pumpkin Bread!

#125: Nikole’s Boss’s Mom’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake

I did this cake for our New Year's Eve Party and due to all that hoopla, I forgot to take a photo!

I thought this receipe was quite nice. Maybe a little dry, but I really liked the marble pattern of the cake!

#124: Macaroni & Wolffie’s Nutritional Yeast ‘Cheese’ Sauce

#123: Curried Butternut Squash Soup

Switched squash into sweet potato!  I don't know if I had way too much of the sweet potato, but I had to add double the amount of liquid..

#122: Simple Oatmeal Cookies

Something wrong with these cookies: taste was really plain and also I thought I could taste the baking soda trough. Something wrong with the receipe or the baker hmm?

#121: Quick Ginger Carrot Soup

#120: Choice of Salad and Sesame Miso Vinaigrette

This was propably my favourite dressing so far! Tahini jar was empty so I used peanut butter and used ½ olive oil, ½ toasted sesame oil.

#119: Chocolate Pear-zza

This recipe doesn't beat the other one, at least not in this house. It was good, though! Made a halved portion again.

#118: Roasted Asparagus Potato Salad

It's snowing sideways here right now, so finding something like asparagus is a bit challenging. I could find it in the bigger fancier deli shops downtown, but gonna pass on the 7 euro wood tasting winter asparagus. And switched to tasty roasted green beans.

#117: Hot Nuts

#116: Breakfast Banana Smoothie

Very plain but nice tasting and simple.

I've been doing the same freezing the bananas thing that Sarah's talking about in the fore word of the recipe and I highly recommend it! I don't like bananas so much - so I never have them home, but they're often needed in a receipe and I don't wanna do an extra shopping trip. Then I just pull them out of the freezer. The best!

#112: Spiced Potato Salad

What an odd dish! And how delicious!

#111: Coconut Curry Red Lentil Soup

#110: Tara’s Chocolate Cake, Toronto Tara’s Chocolate Frosting

Delicious! Added some mint extract into the frosting.

#109: BBQ Popcorn

I've made this dish earlier, but I didn't really like it: BBQ-sauce made the popcorn a little soggy and too oily, and I couldn't get it to spread evenly. After this I've made BBQ-popcorn by just adding the spices: smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder, salt and sugar.

#108: Wolffie’s Southwestern Corn Casserole

This is certainly a receipe I never wouldn't have tried before this challenge. Also this time it didn't turn out too well, so perhaps I will not try it again..?
