#175: Mushroom Pate

Photo before blending the mixture. Taste was ok, maybe a bit too strong.

#174: Florida slaw

Thought this one would be sort of odd, but it turned out ok. I used only pineapple!

#173 Apple Walnut Pudding

This was a really easy and tasty dish. I only made a halved portion and substituted half of the wheat flour with buckwheat flour and it worked out well!

#172: Sesame Roasted Asparagus

So, after a loooong break, I'm back!

And with the most delicious recipe. I've made this about 5 times after trying it the first time.

#167: Parsnip Apple Soup

Oops! I accidentally skipped this recipe. But here it is.

#166: Apricot Walnut Coffee Cake

Not a fan of this one. It was good, but not a winner, u know. I made only a halved recipe.

#165: Choice of salad and Teresa’s Dressing

#164: Harvard Beets

I've done this once before and this time it turned out better. First time I used canned beets and they were in a  vinegar broth (as they usually are here) and the result was way too sour. This time I boiled the beets etc and the result was good!

#163: Wolffie’s Cocoa Cake & Chocolate Fudgey Frosting

A note to self: whenever there is soft tofu in a cake batter, the result is always good!

#162: Faux Fish & Veganica.com Cajun Sweet Potato Fries

I didn't have any kelp powder, so instead I'm using some wakame seaweed in the broth. Also I thought about marinating the faux fish in miso-mustard-marinade over night. Let's see how it turns out!

The sweet potato fries were really tasty, but I guess the oven should have been in a higher temperature, because the fries were a little too soft!

#161: Breakfast Brown Rice Pudding

#160: Cinnamon-Spiced Roasted Veggies

We've made this receipe before, so I'm skipping it. Also I skipped the Pickles-receipe, 'cos it sort of freaked me out!

#159: Eileen’s Sesame Ginger Stir-Fry

#158: Anything Goes Fruit ‘n’ Nut Smoothie

Tasty!

I didn't have any frozen fruit, so I used frozen red currants and kiwi.

#157: Emira’s Speedy Gourmet Kale & Tofu Delight

After making this receipe I realized what is the difference with kale and cabbage! Here I used a few too many chili flakes, so the result was a little too spicy for my taste. Also I found that the cabbage was a little too hard, so I sauteed it 10 min extra and added ½ cup of natural soygurt to soften the chiliness!

#156: Choice of salad and Wolffie’s Balsamic Vinegar Dressing

#155: Coconut Pie Pancakes & Economy “Maple” Pancake Syrup

Loved the coconut milk in these pancakes. In the search of the perfect pancake, I would mix coconut milk, cardamom, raspberries and walnuts, oh!

#154: Sarah’s Green Split Pea Soup

I really liked this one. It was a tasty everyday dish. Instead of split peas, I used crossed green peas.

#153: Berry Oat Squares

Tasty! I used raspberries, blueberries and raspberryjam.

#152: Monday Morning Meusli

#151: Vegan Fruit Juice Flavored Jell-o-Tin

I hate Jello, so I made only like 1/4 of the receipe. But it was good to try The Veg Set for the first time.

#150: Curry Fennel Cauliflower Bake

Yum! I didn't have enough cauliflower, so I added some green beans.

#149: Tomato Cabbage Soup

I thought this one would suck, but it was surprisingly tasty. I substituted the caraway seeds with fennel seeds and they really made the dish.

#148: Chocolate Pecan Cookies

Only after making the dough I realized that there was no fat going into the batter, only the soft tofu, wow! But there was something wrong with the recipe: the result was not crunchy but more like a cake batter..

#147: Festive Stuffed Butternut Squash

I've been complaining a lot about the amount of different pumpkin recipes, having trouble finding any kind of pumpkins and the prices. Then out of the blue I ran into reasonably priced AND organic butternut squash at my nearest supermarket. Wow!

I liked the recipe. Maybe the filling could have been better with something that would have given it more moisture, like soft tofu or yoghurt.

#146: Quinoa Black Bean Salad

#145: Chocolate Walnut Truffles

This receipe was super-easy! Gonna make it again.

#144: Dilip's Stuffed Manicotti w Roasted Red Pepper & Porcini Mushroom Sauce

#143: Bountiful Beans & Brown Rice

#142: Cinnamon Donut Holes

#141: Cauliflower Red Lentil Soup

#140: Margo’s Veggie Peanut Stew

You really can't go wrong with peanut butter in a savory dish, can you?. This one reminded me of another repeipe. I didn't blend the stew, I thought it was better that way.

#139: Not for the Faint of Heart Hot Chocolate

Here we go again - one month's entrys in one weekend. Girl, when are you gonna learn!

#138: Eggplant Parmesan & All Purpose Garlic Tomato Sauce

This dish was so good that I remembered taking the photo a bit too late!

I've done something similar to this dish with a few alterations: adding chili into the tomato sauce, leaving out the flouring the eggplant and adding a lot of cardemom and cinnamon. Yum!

#137: Quick Breakfast Quinoa

#136: Wolffie’s Pasta Salad

#135: Aunt Bonnie’s Chickpea Salad

#134: Simple Sassy Soda Bread

I halved this receipe. No idea what happened in the oven, but the result was really, really flat.

#133: Vegan ‘Sausage’ Hash

Oh the smell of sauteed onion!

#132: Tip Top Tofu Loaf

Apologies for the disgusting photo. I made this dish for myself to bring along to the Christmas dinner. I was worried that it would dry when reheating it, so I poured over some oat cream before putting in to the oven.

#131: Maple Flax Squares

Not having the maple extract I used almond extract and result was very nice!

#130: Jen’s Creamy Basil & Sun-dried Tomato Pasta

This dish was the best! My boyfriend was licking the serving dish and asking "What was this and how did you make it !?!" And so easy to make and everything. Oh dear!
